Historic Hood River

Notes

We have so many images of Hood River in the snow.  I used to think it snowed more back then, but then I realized my own personal collection is full of snowy scenes too.  Snowy days make a good excuse to walk around and take pictures.

This view up Oak Street is from February 2014, just ten years ago, but a bit has changed.  The Kayak Shed in the old Claude Cuddeford Blacksmith building burned in 2017 and the Gorge Surf Shop has closed. Its storefront was replaced by Fish People, which closed this location a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately the old Yasui Building which houses Ground Coffee survived the fire and is still in operation.
