It’s not easy to get everyone to hold still for a group portrait, especially if the group contains puppies. At least one guy figured out how to get his puppy to keep his head still.
By now you probably have recognized this as an Anne Lang photo, circa 1900, probably taken near her home in the Dalles.

Gives a good array of the fashions of the time. Those look somewhat like Jack Russell Terriers. Look at the one in the front with the "Phantom of the Opera" mask. How darling. That might be Mama attempting to be controlled by the fellow in the checkered hat, as that one appears bigger.

Yep, as soon as I opened the photo I suspected Anne Lang.
Clarity, animals, but no children this time.
I thought perhaps it was a Sunday photo because of the bow ties.
Is there any significance to the high, white band the lady in front is wearing?
