Historic Hood River
New Power Customer
12-6-2021

Notes
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We know Alva Day was far more interested in the new power line installation than the Columbia Gorge Hotel under construction next to his power lines. But he still managed to include a little of the hotel, as well as a nice view of Underwood.

At first I thought we were looking across the River to the location of Spring Creek Fish Hatchery, but looking at a couple of these photos
http://columbiariverimages.com/Regions/Places/columbia_gorge_hotel.html
and the location of Underwood Mtn., maybe we are looking at Broughton Mill site?
Must be 1921.

GREAT picture from up a pole…..Roger and I remember our Mom’s (Lois Sheirbon) story about her Odell High School home ec class tour of the brand new all stainless steel kitchen. She remained very impressed.
