Notes

This is the only photo in our collection of Nathaniel Coe, who settled with his wife Mary and their children near what is now State Street in 1854. We know he was also the first chair of the school board, which was formed in his house in 1865.

    Nathaniel and Mary Coe have few descendants. Notable among them are Sidney Coe Howard and Tony Goldwyn.
