This Frank Patterson image is labeled “Multnomah Cave”. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Perhaps it goes by a different name now. Any info?

Is that the cave under Multnomah Falls? Haven’t been there for years, but looks familiar.

There are some photos of Pony Tail Falls with an overhand similar to this. I don’t know if it would be close enough to the Columbia River Highway, for this lady to walk, carrying her purse.
Is this Columbia River Basalt?

The only cave I know of this size in the gorge is Upper Horsetail (Pony Tail) falls, but do not recognize the cavity on the right. Scott Cook, we need you ~

That looks like the cave behind Tamanawas… which she could conceivably have hiked to, but it seems like it would’ve been a bit remote back then?

This is the cave behind Mult Falls. We’re not allowed to go there anymore. It used to be super popular, before Multnomah was superpopular.
