Here’s a classic view of the Mt. Hood Lodge with Mt. Hood in the background. In the 1920s Homer Rogers managed this hotel along with Cloud Cap Inn. You can read about his operations in this article. You can also learn about this lodge in this earlier post. I still get this lodge confused with the Homestead Inn, but fortunately we have enough images of each to sort it out.

If you were to stand at this location today- there is no view of Mt Hood- just tall timber. The lodge is gone but Kate McCarthys son, Kermit and wife, have upgraded the care taker cabin and use the area.
