Have we ever seen Io Day look unhappy?
The lawn mower looks brand new. The stem looks shiny with new writing.
As far as I am concerned the collectors can have all of them.
I have no fond memories of using those contraptions. They might work OK on a flat lawn surface like Io’s. She needs a few mole hills to mow through. Bet she wouldn’t be smiling then.

The Day’s house is on the north east corner of 5th and June.
When Boyd Holloway owned the house in 1958, he had the front yard tilled up and I helped prepare it to be replanted with lawn. I did this in exchange for Boyd re-painting my 1951 Plymouth that I had tried to customize.

I can read "Country Club Ball Bearing" on the mower, but can’t make out the rest of the wording.

had lots of lawn at our home on West Sherman…during depression a guy stood
up on the street and listened to my mower…said it needed to be sharpened..He
had tools in a small roll…My mother made him a sandwich and he was
happy to get that..guy came back the next summer.
