Notes

I’ve shown many images from Max and Arline Moore’s little photo album but I usually crop them for you. This is a representative page from the album. The photo quality is mediocre (Arline Moore says so herself on the cover page) but the text, which I believe was inscribed by Arline Moore herself, gives considerably more detail than most albums. I believe she created this album and added the commentary many years later. There are occasional errors in dates and missing identifiers for some of the people but, as the cover sheet says, it does “give an idea of the time and the place of those years and the development of our valley since.” We know Arline Moore was active in the early county museum. I suspect she prepared this album as part of that effort.
