Historic Hood River
“Mom and her Turkeys”
11-23-2022

Notes
This Thanksgiving post introduces a wonderful new album which we’ll be exploring next week. It was in the museum database as an unidentified family album “found in museum” in 2019. I’ll tell you the full story of the album Monday, but I was happy to find a turkey photo for seasonal atmosphere. On Monday you’ll learn who “Mom” was. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Lots to see in this photo including Dad's? shadow.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Arthur. I am sure we all agree on giving thanks for HHR.
Rico
Any idea what the year was? Anyone?

Rico, the only hint I have is she was born in 1870, so maybe 1900- 1910?

I sure agree L.E. I also am giving thanks for HHR & Arthur and his team.
Melody Shellman
Given her dress and hairstyle, more like 1920-30.
I am also very thankful for Arthur, the History Museum staff, and HHR!

Oh Darn! I forgot. It is Friday after Thanksgiving and Arthur doesn't post a new photo.

Paul and I enjoy the daily posting ever so much. Thank you Arthur and helpers for this great effort! Fun way for me to learn more Oregon history not coming from this part of the world.
