In 1937 Alva Day, Pacific Power employee and purveyor of modern electrical conveniences, finally bought an electric oven and cooktop. You saw the “goodbye” image of the wood fueled “Belnoy” on Friday.
There’s even a new salt and pepper set. Perhaps it came with the oven?

There is a can sitting behind the water heater. I wonder if there is a leak.
I bet Io is enjoying her new electrical kitchen, but I bet she is also missing her wood stove.
I couldn’t find anything about a Belnoy brand stove.

Wonder if that back left burner was a deep pot. My mother used to make soup in hers. When not in use as a deep pot the burner could be raised to surface level.

My Mom’ stove was with the deep well in the rear. I remember her making soups in it.

That looks very much like the stove my mom had in the early 50s, and yes, it had the deep well burner that she also used to make soup, jelly and jam.
