This image is identified as the McCourtney Mill, owned by Frank Davenport, circa 1902. The reverse notes that the first Davenport brothers mill was in 1894 at Parkertown.
Note the age of some of the workers.

Yes, Parkertown was located up by Green Point. There was quite a bit of logging going on up there. I wonder if the youngsters are just not in the photo for the effect? I do realize that children went to work very early in life.

What supplies the water for the pond? Is it along one of the forks of the Hood River?
I have an idea it would not be unusual at all for the owner’s children to be working.

Frank Davenport financed the construction of the Farmers Irrigation Canal way back when. There is quite a bit of history with that alone.

Parkertown is actually up Binns Hill, located where the current Motorcycle, ATV drop area is.

I haven’t been able to find anything about a McCourtney Mill and Hood River.

I found another copy of this image that indicates it is Frank Davenport’s mill and log pond "further up the mountain from Camp Yallanie." I think this log pond fed the log flume running down to Green Point from Rainy, Black and North Lakes. The other copy indicates Framk Davenport is the fifth man from the left.
