Historic Hood River
Made in Oregon

Notes
This Dewitt collection photo includes a stamp from Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska, and the following note by “Bill.”
Me and my “Tucker SnoCat” Umiat, Alaska, 20 Oct 1953. The “Cat” is 1953 model and was made in Medford, Oregon! It has a big Chrysler engine in it and steers hydraulically. It is excellent for driving thru deep snow.
Umiat appears to be in the far northern reaches of Alaska in the North Slope region.
Marks on the reverse indicate it may have been reproduced in a local newspaper.

Kind of reminds me of the first one on this side of Mt. Hood.
