It’s getting to be the time of year when everyone in town escapes to Lost Lake– to avoid the crowds? This is from a Plog family album, dated to 1916. Present are Bobby Clark, Eva Gunn, John Plog, Zack Annala, Bill Haskins, Mable Kemp, Eloise Gillette, Olga Plog and Edna Plog. One of the Plog sisters is holding a box labeled “Tapioca”.

Roger and I remember the story of grandfather John H as County Judge not allowing the paving of the road to LL to deter the "hordes’ from Portland ruining the lake. (now I are one)

Driving Hwy 14 the other day, I was grumbling about the "hordes" who have invaded the Gorge.
I wonder if the Plog sisters just happen to be wearing matching dresses or if there is a meaning to the stripes.

John is about 4 years older than Olga and she is two years older than Edna. Brother Walter died of blood poisoning while in the service.
Younger siblings were Harry and Louis. Maybe they are at the back of the line.
