I wonder if this is not Mt Hood? Rarely is there that much rock exposed.

I was wondering about the white line in the foreground. Looks like a crack, a rope or maybe just a mark on the photo.
Also looks like they are hiking around a large crevasse.

It appears this is below the Eliot Headwall along the upper portion of Eliot Glacier. This route is called the Sunshine Route. It looks they’re approaching the Snowdome. They usually started at Tilly Jane Campground.

The Sunshine Route was first identified in 1925 by Mark Weygandt after 531 registered trips to the summit. It was then used for American Legion climbs. (See Hood River Glacier, 1925-06-11, page 8)
