Ella May Davidson is in the middle of this view of the lava beds near Parkdale.  While it’s hard to miss the lava beds from the air, they are not a particularly popular destination.  Access isn’t easy, and getting around them is even harder.  But these women seemed to leave no corner of the valley unexplored as they traveled around with their cameras and picnic baskets.
