It’s reassuring to know some things do not change. Olga Plog photographed the “Phantom Ship” from Kerr Notch on the Crater Lake rim drive during her August 1924 road trip across the northwest. It still looks the same today (though now it’s in color!)

We were at Crater Lake this summer. I love it there! The east rim road was closed due to the resurfacing project, so we couldn’t drive the whole rim road. But it’s always wonderful to be there.

Take the boat ride around the lake. It’s bucket list worthy.
I will never forget looking up at the rim from on crater Lake.
