Historic Hood River
I love the ingenuity of people trying to get a job done, even if it’s not entirely clear what the job was. Someone’s taken an assortment of car parts and plumbing supplies to make this contraption. Perhaps it’s a mixing vat for orchard chemicals? Or a basin to clean fruit for packing? What’s your guess?
There’s a four cylinder automobile engine to the right, complete with radiator, ignition switch and indicator gauges. But after the flywheel the drive shaft enters a different world, with pumps and valves of all sorts.
