This Joe Young image of a Hood River Fire Department party probably dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s. Does anyone recognize the facility? I’ve never seen this room. The painting behind the bar makes me wonder if it is the American Legion Hall when it was in the Heights near the May Street School.

I'm pretty sure that's the upstairs room at the old Legion Hall and that the man behind the bar in the white shirt, apparently pouring a drink, is Claude Parrott.

The man towards the left side of the picture by the door has a HRFD shirt on as a few more men do too. I wonder what device he is holding ?

I think he may be holding a camera with a flash device on an extension arm. The focus isn't good enough to be sure.
