The 1927 Hood River High School Football team is posing for a picture in some Oregon mud. Since they used a Portland photographer I suspect this was an away game. It looks like they all have shiny new leather helmets.

I am on the search for my aunt’s 1927 "Mascot". Hopefully, I can soon find it and then should be able to identify those in the photo.

I think we used the same gear for my first year as freshman in 1971! We had to earn the new pads as early practices wore on.
