This image of a 1910 meeting of the the Hood River Boosters Club is from Arline and Max Moore’s album. Mrs. Moore identifies the location as “Parkers Restaurant, present Apple Blossom Cafe.” This space has held many restaurants over the years– more recently it was Yayas Greek Restaurant (1990s), and of course it is now known as The Trillium. Please fill in the blanks on other businesses that have been at this spot.

In the 1940’s & 50"s, it was the Apple Blossom Cafe.

At one time it was called the H & V Cafe.
I am surprised knowing "Grandma" Moore that she didn’t write the men’s names on the back of the photo.

charlott, this was glued into an album. You’re right, Arline Moore was very good about leaving us lists of names with photos, but she missed this one– or maybe the names are on the back, covered in glue.

Charlott’s memory is good…sometime in the 50’s it became the H & V Cafe.

Does anyone else remember Yaya’s? I enjoyed their falafel. I think they sold frozen yogurt or ice cream out of the little window in the front.

I do remember Yaya’s, however I never would have remembered the name of the cafe if you hadn’t shared it. Believe the owners’ name was Vovou?

My friends Jean & Fred Thompson owned it before it sold to "Ya-Ya’s" Fred has passed, but Jean is still living in HR

That is Max Moore sitting right in front in the middle of the photo in the black coat…..

This was the H & V Cafe for several years while I was growing up in the 60’s and 70’s ownded my my aunt and uncle Vi and Harlan Shank.
