Historic Hood River
Log Run?

Notes
I’ve said before if I had a time machine I would go back and give Ella May Davidson a tripod to steady her camera work. I don’t usually share these shaky images, but this one shows some interesting cribbing along the shoreline of the river. Could this be to facilitate log runs, back in the days when the Hood River was used to transport logs from forest to mill?

And the other question (s), how did she get there and why is her friend holding a good sized piece of wood, and what about the person in the far left?

I love Ella May Davidson photos.
Quite amazing to travel amongst those rocks, keeping pristine, white dresses dry and clean.
Is the board used to help step between the rocks?
At first I thought the lady on the right was holding a fishing pole, which became 3, with Ella Mae’s shakiness. But, I don’t know what that is.

My guess is the woman on the right has (ironically) a tripod. It looks like she has a camera case over her shoulder. Evidence is many of the participants in these excursions brought their cameras with them.
