Historic Hood River
Gone Fishing

Notes
This is a great classic pose of three children fishing with their faithful dog sitting by. I believe two of the children are George and Frances Castner, children of Charles and Therese Castner. Frances was born in 1899 and George in 1908.
This print shows the effects of “silvering”. With age sometimes silver compounds remaining in photographic paper after developing migrate to the surface and form a reflective sheen which makes scanning very difficult. Photoshop was able to remove the silvering from most of the image field, but it’s evident around the edges.

The dog appears to be the only one enjoying the pose.
