Here’s a wonderful “Morganne’s Monday” artifact from the archives of the History Museum: the actual “shingle” Samuel Blythe hung outside the Glacier’s offices. I don’t see it in this view or in this view, but they moved offices often so it’s a good thing the sign was portable.

When I started my business the old school business men around said.
(Congratulations on hanging your own Shingle) it took me a while to understand exactly what they meant.
Well I found out!
Their is a whole lot of work and Family-Lifestyle choices behind that shingle!

It is attractive.

Looks like that is Old English or Gothic style of which there are hundreds of variations. Most were adapted by the monks when copying the Bible. Have fun hunting down this particular script.

Look up Gothic script and there are numerous variations that the monks designed in the 1400’s in copying the Bible (before the printing press.)
