These serious looking gents are Sheriff Thomas Johnson, Constable and Game Warden Eph Olinger, and Louie Fritz circa 1910. It’s not clear if they have been out hunting or if they have found some poachers, but this is a very well-posed image by a professional photographer.

    Watch out! It looks like the hammer is cocked on the Winchester on the left.

    It appears that the rifle on the left is cocked with the hammer back. Perhaps these law officers skipped their hunter safety classes that day.
