Alva Day and family had a very regular schedule. Late summer meant a camping trip up to Lost Lake. This was summer of 1932.
It looks like the pickup has plenty of firewood so Io can keep that monster stove well stoked.

I wondered if Alva had a trip wire running to the camera, but I can’t see one.
