Let me tell you about Ed Hite. He was in my class in school at Wy’east, the most wonderful young man ever put on the face of this earth. Everyone loved him and he seemed to love everyone. He was the most polite gentlemanly guy you could ever wish to meet. Very quiet, guess you might say close to being shy. He always had a smile on his face.
He loved baseball and was an outstanding contributor to the Wy’east baseball team. I am not certain but think he played both football and basketball.
Sadly he died of some form of cancer just a very few short years after we graduated. We were all so shocked as he was probably the most "favorite" class mate of all.
He grew up in the Dee area and had one younger brother Don.
I am thinking this is probably a photo taken in his junior year (spring 1959) definitely at Wy’east because Defiance is directly behind.
Rest in peace friend Eddie.

Slightly closed stance, hands behind the ears. Looks like a ball player for sure. I’d bet he was a good one.

Mt Defiance felt a lot steeper than this to me, I believe this is another and wish I was in the area to check it out ~

I goofed. Yes that is looking towards Underwood. Didn’t even really stop to take a close check. Oh yes, he was a good ball player.
