Notes

This is the East Barrett School on Orchard Road. It looks like they need to get to work cutting wood. The rack is empty and there are only a few pieces waiting to be split.

Since it’s a Deitz photo I’m dating it circa 1910. Does anyone know where this school was on Orchard Road?

I thought I could remember an earlier discussion about this school.

It is a beautiful building, but I am surprised there is not a roof over the door.

Trying to figure, facing west as the sun is in the SW and the hills behind. That might put it straight down Orchard Road where there is a cluster of houses. That way it would face a north/south road.

Their buildings look so pristine and well built.
