This Veterans’ Day we have this fine image of Donald R. Kresse, son of Herman and Leah Kresse. Kresse served in the 10th Mountain Division during World War II, receiving a Silver and two Bronze Stars for his bravery and heroism. You can read a nice biography of him here.
We have a great Madeleine’s Monday artifact this week which I have moved to tomorrow due to the holiday.

OPB had a documentary the other day of soldiers who were captured during WWII and incarcerated by the Germans. Can’t get it out of my mind.
All for my freedom and yours as well as the people of France. Bravery unadulterated.

Many were also incarcerated by the Japanese. Many did not survive.
