This well-trained dog and very tolerant horse show valley residents have enjoyed pet tricks since long before David Letterman was born. This image is from a collection dated between 1915 and 1920.
This image inaugurates Historic Hood River’s “Fun Friday” picture. Each Friday we’ll post an image which is less about history in the formal sense, and more about people being people (and in this case, dogs being dogs).

Is the dog sitting on something? Something besides just the horse? He looks like he is perched up there pretty good without his back half hanging down the other side.
