Last September the Hood River High School Class of 1959 dropped by the museum as part of their reunion festivities. Morganne’s Monday offering is a display case prepared for that occasion filled with memorabilia from that era. There is a medallion commemorating Oregon’s statehood centennial, patches, an HRHS pennant and a certificate announcing the Hood River High School marching band’s “Excellent” rating at a music festival held in The Dalles in April 1959.

GREATLY appreciated the hospitality of all staff especially Morganne’s display and Arthur’s tour of his “digs” for our HRHS 59 reunion. while dwindling in numbers we will get together again this year. One MAJOR downer was the loss of one of our major planners Norma Jubitz Simpson. Of course Norma is also a major loss also for this site.
