We’ve spent plenty of time talking about all the dogs in Hood River’s photographic history, but it would be hard to find an orchard operation in the valley without a resident population of cats. These tabbies are enjoying the sunshine on Ollie Mason’s front porch. Too bad no one was sitting in the rocking chair. It would have made a great shadow!

Oh, I love cats! The half grown ones are so cute and the one on the left with its front legs tucked under its self.
That rug looks like woven ones that Lois Vance made in the past. I still have one of her rugs.
What a beautiful robe Ollie has on. Where was her house located?

Kalley, I believe this was the farmhouse on the westside of the Dalles.

I clicked on the “Mason” tag. My goodness Arthur, you are getting quite a collection of photos which show a long history of the Hood River Valley and the Mason family.
I wonder if the photo was taken on the porch of this house.
