Notes

By now some of you may recognize the handwriting of Frank Patterson on this stereo card titled “Cabbage Grown by K. W. Polk Near Mt. Hood.” The first time I looked at this I missed the child in the middle of the field.

Yep, I missed the child. Beautiful crop of cabbage and grain.
My dad did a lot of this type of plowing but I doubt that he wore a white shirt, nice vest and a tie.
The gentleman with the hoe appears to be either Japanese or Native American.
I was unable to find anything about a K.W. Polk. There was a William Polk who farmed in the area of Friend Oregon and is buried there.

That horse isn't getting much work out of the guy with the vest, tie and bowler hat!
