We end our week-long retrospective of the 2000 Subaru Gorge Games with the headliner entertainment of Big Head Todd and the Monsters. I think that’s guitar player/ vocalist Todd Park Mohr. Big Head Todd and the Monsters is a Colorado based band who are still performing.

He was born in Colorado in 1965 and is of Korean origin. The band were high school friends.

The concert was the closer of the week long Subaru Gorge Games. It was held on the Bingen waterfront…I believe where Insitu is now. Early in Big Head's performance, a full moon was rising in the east above the Columbia. The band was facing east and Todd paused to share with the crowd, mentioning the beauty of the Gorge. A memorable moment!

So, at the end of retrospect week about Subaru Gorge Games I will say I was not a participant but I do own a Subaru. One time when I took my car in to the local dealer for regular maintenance check, I apologized for the car being so dirty. The reply I got was, “Hey, it is a Gorge Subaru. That is what they are suppose to look like!â€
