In the 1890’s anyone who could would head up towards Mt. Hood to escape the summer heat. This is an Anne Lang image of her friends on the last of the season’s snow pack next to Cloud Cap Inn.
Don’t forget the downtown walking tour this morning. Meet at the salmon fountain at 10AM, while it’s still cool, for a one hour historical view of downtown.

Mr. Malcolm Moody who was supposedly in love with both of the Lang sisters??
After I take HHR’s walking tour I am going to venture up to The Dalles and visit the old house that Moody bequeathed to the two sisters.
But, I think I will wait for the weather to cool down.
