This Joe Young photo of a Hood River Fire Department event isn’t that interesting by itself, but check out that image on the wall. It looks like an image of a parade route with two dignitaries in a horse drawn carriage. Since it’s unframed I’m guessing it is a print of a famous work, but a Google Lens image search doesn’t come up with a match. Google’s AI is confident it’s a view of the annual Oxford Cambridge boat race, but offers no evidence. When pushed, it says this is Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address. Any (better) ideas?
From other images in the series I believe this party was in the American Legion hall (previously Pleasant View School) on 11th and June.
The Joe Young images date to the late 1940s or 1950s.

It doesn’t look like a boat race and I don’t think that is Abraham Lincoln.
Why would it be hanging in a Fire Department?
Perhaps it is a whiskey maker being celebrated.
On a serious note, there appears to be several hats with an X on top. Any meaning to those hats?

Benjamin Harrison visited 21 states (including Oregon) in an 1891 tour during his presidency. I wonder if this is a depiction of him.
