Looking around for a Hood River imitation of Annie Oakley I came across this story of Mona Bell. Since we have discussed Sam Hill and Mona Bell in other photos, I thought it would be of interest. I think my mother could have been an Annie Oakley. She was a crack shot with gun.

Good observation about the Annie Oakley inspiration. It’s very possible this woman saw Annie Oakley in Buffalo Bills Wild West show. We know they toured through this area several times.
