Abstract Fruit Pickers

Notes
This Ella May Davidson image has developed an interesting quality with age. No, it’s not an Instagram filter. The emulsion has shrunk and cracked from the cellulose nitrate backing for an artistic effect.
I think that may be a peach tree, though it’s difficult to be sure. The image includes the requisite dog and child.

I don't know why I am getting a feeling that this is on Van Horn Butte in Pine Grove. It is a quite steep hillside. Years ago I saw a photo of Willis Van Horn. I have tried numerous times to try and locate it once more, but haven't been able to thus far. There is something telling me that the man in the white vest and bowler hat is Willis Van Horn. He was what one might call a “dandy”, much into his self and how he looked. He wished to impress and there is quite a story related to him.

As soon as I opened the photo, I thought it was an Ella May Davidson photo. Not sure why. Maybe the way her subjects pose?
It looks like the lady is kneeling on a board, but the board doesn't go clear to the tree.

I am trying to locate the Hood River Laundry 1908 C. Cab horse drawn delivery wagon so I can take pictures & finish the entire saga from Archabald Adams to George Selder Adams 1970.
