This portrait of Will Sheets came out of the Neff Brothers studio, probably around 1900. What a wonderful alternative to the usual portrait in formal wear.
Can you "hone in" on the handle bars and read a brand name? Love the mustache.

Sorry, Judy, I can’t make out any legible logo on the bike. From other images I know one of the dealers in town sold "Victor" bikes. Not sure if this is one of them.

Can’t find out much about W.E. Sheets, other than he was a HR volunteer fireman before HR was a county.

Hood River, Or Jan 8. Miss Blanche V., youngest daughter of Mayor Blowers, became the wife of William E. Sheets, Chief of the Fire Department here and a member of the firm of Stranahan & Sheets, wholesale dealers"¦"¦The bride and groom were met at the railroad station, where they went to take the train for a wedding trip to Portland and Seattle, by the Hood River Band, which serenaded them until they departed.
