Historic Hood River
Running Boards
9-22-2017

Notes
I’m not sure if this Wonsyld family picture was from the mill in Dee or Yacolt, but that’s besides the point. This is why trucks should have running boards. The only way this could be cuter is if the kid was holding a puppy. And since whatever he is holding is too blurry to see, who’s to say he isn’t?
In another frame you can read the year 1936 from the truck’s plate.

Dodge should have used this photo for a sale promotion!
Maybe he still has his pipe in his hand.
Looks like the same pile of slab wood that we saw in a previous photos. At first i thought it was lava rock.
Nice headache rack.
Arthur
I should have mentioned the family has identified the boy. I think it is Dale Wonsyld but I should verify with my notes at the museum. Also, they are confident this was taken at Dee.

That is the sweetest little boy smile I’ve even seen. Hopefully Dale gew up to charm some young woman with it!
