Here’s another view through the current day Elks Parking lot toward the W.G. Snow Blacksmith and Wagonmakers shop. It looks like the lot is being used to store poles for the power company.

If they were moving those poles say to a place they were to be installed, how, if they were using that rig, could they ever make corners? Would have been interesting to see. That isn’t even a truck, it is just a car with some sort of board across the fenders to rest the pole on.
Can anyone read the sign on the wagon or truck across the street there? I can see a man right at the front of the wagon or truck. With it parked where it is it is most likely a wagon or some sort.

We’ve been here before! And I think we have seen this pickup in previous Alva Day photos.
I thought it was his pickup, but maybe it was a new "company car" he was standing so proudly in front of his house with in photo #216.
Do we know anything about the brick building? Have we had any previous photos of it?

Yes, we’ve been here before. Click on the Snow_WG tag and you’ll see the other side of the building. The blacksmith shop is now Double Mountain Brewery.
We have many pictures of this car dragging poles up the valley. https://www.hoodriverhistorymuseum.org?showimage=492 shows a pole being placed roadside. https://www.hoodriverhistorymuseum.org?showimage=500 shows what is probably the same car further up the valley.

Cars, especially Fords, were different back them. They were pretty much light farm tractors with bodies attached.
