Historic Hood River
Beehive House

Notes
You’ve probably figured out this isn’t Hood River, but it was taken by Hood River Resident W. F. Laraway. This is the famous “Beehive House” in Salt Lake City, Utah, onetime residence of Brigham Young. You can learn all about it here. Earlier we saw this view of Temple Square.
It looks like curbside parking is still just as easy… though only because it is a construction zone.

I wonder if possibly Laraway visited the area while Brigham Young lived there. Young passed away in 1877. Laraway would have been 29 years old at the time.

From the other Utah images I got the idea they passed through Utah on their way from Iowa to Oregon. A guess, but the ages of the people seems closer to their ages in the early 20th century
