Historic Hood River
New Orchard

Notes
This Laraway image shows a young orchard somewhere in the Hood River Valley. Anyone have an idea where this is?
This view represents an incredible amount of work:Â the work to clear the forest and plant the apple trees, the work to build that road, and the work to build those houses.

I think we’re looking at 1075 Eastside Road

Wow, that’s a pretty specific ID. Both the house and the barn look the same, and there is a similar road fill to the south of the location. Looks like we have a winner!
Peter
Look at those two(?) enormous trees above and right of center

Nice Peter! I’m not near the expert on Hood River’s less known roads as many of you are so I didn’t want to venture a guess, but I actually thought it was that stretch too! (I visit Panorama Point often, and drive the Eastside/Whiskey Creek loop). I’d like to thank the woman with the idyllic cottage, garden and roses around 1350 Eastside, one of my favorite little wonders on that route–I thank her whenever she’s outside. Does anyone know why it’s called Whiskey Creek?
