Ella May Davidson’s notes indicate she visited the Condit Dam construction site on October 13 (presumably 1912). You may remember this image of the construction of the penstock flume. There’s all sorts of great detail in this view. Note all the stairs for the construction workers, and how deeply the concrete goes into the hillside. I wonder if they dug all of that out when the dam was decommissioned in 2011?
