It looks like Ella May Davidson and friends have gone for an excursion in the woods. As with most of the Davidson images we don’t know exactly where they were going, but I’m always impressed by how many women they can fit in such a small automobile.

Super cool pic! What’s the year and car model? I’m not an auto fanatic, but I’m guessing the car is new, roads are new, and they didn’t have to go too far too fast to pose in the forest with their new vehicle? Imagine looking at those rubber tires and wood rims with awe! And on another women’s history note, it appears this car has no windshield wipers yet–Mary Anderson patented them in 1903 and they were standard by 1913, sooo…1912 maybe?

Thorn, the Davidson images seem to span from about 1912 to 1919. License plate format is the same date span. Unfortunately the year is on the right side of the plate which is hidden.

Looks like a dodge brothers touring car 1916-1918.
Windshield wipers were often added to cars of this era. Western Auto stores were a early example, selling parts and accessories

I would agree with Pat as the cowl body cut out under the windshield is unique to the Dodge Bros.
