Here’s another gem from Rodger Nichols 1955 promotional brochure. I like how all the shop workers are perfectly posed in all three views. You may recognize the Hood River Laundry building as the home of Kickstand Coffee and Kitchen at the corner of 13th Street and State Street (1231 State Street). Not sure of the address of the Heights Beauty Salon, but it looks like they mastered the 1950s hair styles. Also not sure where Hood Way Meat was located, but I probably wouldn’t go there after dark.

I believe that Hood Way Meat was located in the gully east of where Eastside Road and Highline Road come together.
