Notes
Not sure which store chose to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the United Nations on 1955, but someone put time into this display. Unfortunately color film from that era really doesn’t age well. I did my best to bring it closer to reality, but the blues were almost completely gone.

It would be interesting to know who took such an interest in the UN. and why.
I see a teapot. Is that China or Japan? There is a Japanese doll in the back corner.
Up in the front corner….is that a replica of "beating swords into plowshares"?

This kinda feels like it is one of the windows of the old P,P&L office on the corner across the street from the Paris Fair.

The only thing I recognize is Geisha Doll on the upper right hand corner. I see a camel in the front. Odd display but charming in it’s way.

I agree with Bill. The P.P.& L. building. They had that big front window and always seems to have had some sort of display in it. Would not have been hard to get items to respresent the world, as there were lots of Japanese, Finns, and other nationalities to make up the Hood River melting pot.
